Fort Worth, Texas - U.S. Representative Randy Neugebauer (R-Lubbock) will address cattle raisers during the Legislative and Tax breakout session at the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers 132nd Annual Convention in Fort Worth. The breakout session will be held Saturday, March 21, at 3 p.m.
Rep. Neugebauer was recently appointed the ranking republican on the House Agriculture Committee's Livestock, Dairy and Poultry Subcommittee.
"I will continue to make agriculture a priority during the 111th Congress. I take the responsibility of being the voice for all of the agriculture producers in the 19th District very seriously. I look forward to being a leader on the Livestock Subcommittee because our farmers and ranchers are responsible for providing America's people and people abroad with food, fiber and energy they need to survive," Rep. Neugebauer said in a statement released after the announcement of his subcommittee assignment.
"Representative Neugebauer has been a good friend of TSCRA. We are pleased to have him address our Legislative and Tax breakout session during the convention, and look forward to his leadership on the House Ag Committee. I would like to encourage all convention members and visitors to attend this informative breakout session where we will learn what is on the federal horizon for the Texas cattle industry," TSCRA President Jon Means said.
