TSCRA Special Ranger Arrests Suspect on Ten Felony Charges

Fort Worth, Texas-Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association (TSCRA) Special Ranger John Cummings, along with Special Agent Kevin Martin of the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture arrested a suspect on ten felony charges from four states.

Special Ranger Cummings responded to a report on January 16 of a stolen horse trailer with living quarters. Investigation of the crime revealed the suspect was Ronnie E. Summers, 35, of Bolivar, Missouri.

Further investigation revealed that Summers met female victims through the Internet and used these contacts to steal checks, credit cards and property. A record check revealed Summers was wanted in Kansas, Missouri, Iowa and Oklahoma on charges of forgery, fraud, theft and damage to property.

When Cummings and Martin arrested Summers he was driving a truck that was confirmed stolen, and towing a trailer which was also stolen. All three vehicles including the original trailer were seized and will be returned to the owners.

"Making this arrest was a collaborated effort between numerous law enforcement departments," Cummings said. "With their help, we were able to track the suspect down and recover over $93,000 worth of stolen property. This investigation is not over.  We expect more criminal charges to be brought against the suspect in the near future."

TSCRA would like to thank the Stephens County Sheriff's Office, the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, the Henryetta Police Department, the Cooper County Sheriff's Office and the Bolivar Missouri Police Department for their assistance with the case.
