Trichomoniais (Trich) Regulations

Trichomoniasis is a reportable disease in Texas, and is a significant animal health problem with a major economic impact on breeding cattle herds.

On Feb. 27, 2009, the Texas Animal Health Commission (TAHC) announced the adoption of the Texas Cattle Trichomoniasis Program. Rules affecting interstate movement of cattle become effective April 1, 2009, and in-state rules become effective Jan. 1, 2010. TAHC adopted some revisions to the regulations on October 5, 2010 and August 25, 2011. Those are listed below.
