Vehicle and Trailer Registration Requirements Effective immediately, a 45-day warning period will be observed for persons transporting hay and related commodities to victims of Hurricane Ike. This warning period will cover the following violations: •Vehicle registration •Vehicle inspection
DPS will only issue warnings for expired tags for the next 45 days for those assisting with the moving of hay or commodities. Please note this does not cover local jurisdictions but is good statewide for the Department of Public Safety. To read the official memo, click here.
