Membership gathering held in Sanger

Approximately 60 folks attended the TSCRA ranch gathering at the beautiful Texas Sundown Ranch in Sanger, Texas, May 22. Attendees were treated to a brisket dinner and delicious cake for dessert, then speakers gave updates on current events affecting producers.

Dr. Jason Banta, Texas AgriLife Extension Service, spoke about adapting to market changes, TSCRA Special Ranger H.D. Brittain held a talk on theft prevention and Eldon White, TSCRA executive vice president, gave an update on the beef industry.

Special thanks go to the Denton County Beef, Forage, and Crops committee, who helped with preparation of the event. Thanks also go to Eddie Baggs, Denton County AgriLife Extension agent, for all his hard work; and to and TSCRA Special Rangers Troy McKinney and Jimmy Dickson for lending a hand. Thanks also go to speakers Banta, Brittain, and White.

Extra appreciation goes to sponsors Bayer Animal Health, Hargrove Ranch Insurance and Martindale Feed Mill for supporting the gathering.
