TSCRA Crime Watch, 6-9-08

TSCRA Special Rangers Joe Rector and John Cummings, serving the Oklahoma area, report two theft cases in this week's Crime Watch. Special Ranger: Joe Rector

Date of theft: May 8 to 11, 2008

Location of theft: Northeast corner of Britton and Post Road, Jones, Okla., Oklahoma County.

Method of break-in: Subject(s) entered pasture through an unlocked gate, loaded cattle into a trailer and left the area.

Property stolen: Eight Polled Hereford cows, 1,000 to 1,500 pounds each, not branded, and one Hereford calf, not branded.

Date of theft: Mid-April 2008

Location of theft: Big Cabin, Craig County, Okla.

Method of break-in: No force used. Suspect(s) used working facilities on-site to sort and load cattle and remove via trailer. At least one gate into property was not locked at the time of theft.

Property stolen: Fifteen black cows of Angus and/or Brangus breeding. Some had orange ear tags with 400-series numbers. Some had white double-digit ear tags numbered 60s to 70s. No brands or other identifying marks were noted at this time.
