TSCRA follows up prescribed burn testimony with letter to Sunset Advisory Commission chairman

As reported previously in the April 22 issue of TSCRA News Update, TSCRA Director Bill White testified before the Sunset Advisory Commission at the State Capitol in Austin. White's testimony dealt with the Commission's review of the Prescribed Burning Board, under the jurisdiction of Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA).

TDA is under sunset review, a process which questions the need for each agency, looks for potential duplication of public services or programs, and considers changes to improve each agency's operations and activities.

As a follow-up to White's testimony, TSCRA President Jon Means, Van Horn, has drafted a letter to The Honorable Carl Isett, chairman of the Sunset Advisory Commission, reaffirming TSCRA's support of the Prescribed Burning Board. To read the letter, click the following link: more.
