TSCRA Daily News Update, 4-18-08
TSCRA membership gathering held in Tishomingo, Okla. The New Johnston County Cattlemen's Association hosted a membership drive for TSCRA Apr. 15 in Tishomingo, Okla. About 80 folks attended the event and four joined TSCRA onsite, with many more taking home applications. Bobby Jones and Mike Vandevier cooked up delicious smoked prime rib. Keegan Varner, the Texas AgriLife Extension Agent, was a great emcee and encouraged attendees to come by and visit at the TSCRA booth. Bill Jordan of Pfizer talked about treating cattle with Draxxin®, a drug therapy for bovine respiratory disease (BRD). Also, TSCRA Special Rangers John Cummings and Ben Eggleston gave a presentation on theft prevention and the benefits of TSCRA membership.
