Great turnout for Tilden membership
gathering TSCRA had a great turnout for the Tilden membership gathering April 10, with about 100 attendees. 13 new members joined the association, with many more taking home applications.
The brand new Tilden Community Center was the perfect place to hold a TSCRA membership gathering. The food-steaks, potatoes, salad, and cobbler-was wonderful. TSCRA Special Ranger Hap Roberts, and wife, Dayner, greeted attendees and helped with door prizes.
Special guests included Texas State
Sen. Judith Zaffirini (D-Laredo) and State Rep. Yvonne Gonzales Toureilles
(D-Alice), who both did a phenomenal job speaking to the attendees.
Appreciation goes to Jim Gates, TSCRA association promotion committee member, who helped put the meeting together and gave a talk about membership. Richard Wallace of Fort Dodge Animal Health led an interesting discussion on Trichomoniasis.
We were also pleased to see the TSCRA members' children at the meeting; besides promoting the industry to a younger crowd, they can, at times, provide some comic relief. One of the young ones turned the evening into an interactive discussion and let Richard Wallace know when a bull was on his presentation screen.
Special thanks to our sponsors Fort Dodge Animal Health! Also a big thanks to our hosts: Jamie Donnell, Jim Donnell, Marty Harris, Dan Kinsel and Steven Mafrige.
