Fredericksburg-area cattlemen enjoy TSCRA gathering
Approximately 190 people
attended TSCRA's cattlemen's gathering in Fredericksburg Sept. 20 and
six new members joined on site.
TSCRA
President Jon Means explained that a strong membership base is
especially important to counter the many threats from vocal and
well-funded activist groups. Executive Vice President Eldon White
updated participants on industry issues in Austin and Washington, D.C.
Nathan
Macias, Texas State Representative for District 73 attended the event as
did several law enforcement officials.
Hosts
for the meeting included TSCRA Special Ranger Max Hartmann, TSCRA
Directors Richard Eppright and W. Clay Jones; TSCRA Committee Members
Gordon Sauer and Elmer Ahrens, Gillespie County Sheriff Milton Jung,
Leland Geistweidt, Ryan
Sauer,
Bob Bertelson, Joe Sagebiel and Steve Wetz and the Gillespie County
TSCRA Steak Team.
The steak team
served up an excellent meal and Franny Hartmann once again provided her
delicious cookies.
