Opening General Session

Global Warming – Facts, Fiction and the 900,000-Year Record
Saturday, March 20, 10:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Dr. Jay Lehr, Environmental and Climate Scientist

Nobody goes through a day without hearing of the impending crisis of man-caused global warming. Many lose sleep over it and more waste money over it.

Dr. Jay Lehr has been studying climate change for 30 years and has written widely on the subject. Despite the fact that the alarmists are obviously winning, he will share his knowledge that man does not, in fact, hold a candle to nature when it comes to controlling the climate of our universe.

At the TSCRA Convention Opening Session, Lehr will explain the news media's motivation for continuing the alarm in spite of the fact that the earth has not warmed since 1998 and that 900,000 years of ice cores show dramatic temperature changes every 1,500 years, not related to carbon dioxide emissions.

This opening general session is for all TSCRA Convention Weekend attendees – SCHOOL for Successful Ranching students, TRADE SHOW exhibitors, convention-goers. This fascinating presentation is for us all and for us to share with others.

CattleFax Market Outlook

Sunday, March 21, 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Randy Blach, Executive Vice President, CattleFax

This state-of-the-industry review of our cattle market is a perennial favorite at the TSCRA convention. Grain prices are moderating, exports seem to be on a roller coaster, the cow herd is contracting, but prices continue to drop. What's going on, what’s at risk and how do you manage and protect your bottom line?

Closing General Session Luncheon

Return With Honor
Sunday, March 21, 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Scott O'Grady

U.S. Air Force Captain Scott O’Grady will share his incredible six-day, life-or-death struggle to survive in hostile territory after being shot down over Bosnia on June 2, 1995. His story is an inspirational tale of courage, faith and patriotism by an American hero.

O'Grady was helping to enforce the NATO no-fly zone policy in the skies over Bosnia when a Soviet-made anti-aircraft missile slammed into his F-16. He tells his incredible story of how he survived in hostile territory before being rescued by the U.S. Marines in his book, "Return with Honor", which was on The New York Times best-seller list for six weeks.
